For the grandparents, aunts and uncles, and anyone else who cares.....
...here are some more school related pictures of the kids.
I like to go to the library and bring home a couple dozen books about whatever we happen to be studying at the time....

| Josiah, Avalon, and I all enjoy history.....Jonathan, not so much. It think he would love it if science was his only subject...haha! | ||||
| This year we are studying a very interesting time in history... 1600-1850. We've read about Mary Queen of Scots, Queen Elizabeth, King James, William Bradford, John Winthrop, William Penn, and many other interesting people who left their mark on history. The Jamestown settlement, the Pilgrims, The Thirty Years' War, King Philip's War, and the forming of the 13 Colonies have made for interesting discussion. |

Some say that there is a certain age when kids are "supposed to" read....usually at 5 years old.
I believe kids learn to read when they're ready. Two of my kiddos learned to read "right on time", one was a "late reader" and Elijah is somewhere in the middle. He reads short vowel words pretty well but is quickly getting the hang of the long vowel and consonant blends.
| I don't know how this can be comfortable....but whatever.... |
..... hahaha!

| Just had to include this picture that Josiah drew. Elijah caught a Praying Mantis and Josiah thought it would make a good subject for his paper about invertebrates. |

I think sitting on the table is the best place to do schoolwork :)
